After confirming your starting weight, you will receive your first prescription along with counseling advice and medication information leaflets to take home.
2-6 months: Weight Management Journey
Reorder your new pen before your existing pen runs out. Your clinician will review you at the end of every month to monitor your progress…

Why do I need a clinical assessment?
We believe that every person is uniquely beautiful. We need to ensure that you are eligible for the treatment as per your current metrics and also your specific medical history. This will include assessing your starting weight in-person, or by providing measurements and weight verifying photos. We are a clinician-run practice and your safety is our top priority.
Who is this weight loss treatment for?
Injectable weight loss medications are licensed for individuals who are clinically obese to help reach a healthy steady weight. Our clinicians will review your clinical assessment on a case-by-case basis to assess which treatment is suitable and eligible for you.
What is included in my personalised treatment plan?
Your clinician will explore your weight loss goals in depth and discuss the key areas and different strategies to focus on to achieve this. This will include a clinical medication plan, nutritional diet/healthy lifestyle advice and mindset review which is tailor-made only for you.
What support do I have available?
The Cosmetic Medics Weight Loss Program combines ongoing expert-led clinical support in the form of one-to-one reviews with your clinicians every month to assess your progress. Your clinician will also provide online resources to refer to if you need further information or forget something. You will join our supportive community where reaching your goals also becomes our top priority.
What if something goes wrong or I want to speak to someone?
We understand that any drug can have side effects and these can differ on an individual basis. Or maybe you have fallen off-track from your personalised plan and want to get back on track swiftly. For any concerns or ongoing support, please reach out to the clinical team at any time and one of our clinicians will get back to you urgently within 24 hours or sooner.
What side effects can I expect?
Every individual has a slightly different anatomy and each experience can differ on a case by case basis. It is therefore not possible to assume if you will experience side effects.
Gastric side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, constipation and bloating can commonly be experienced when the medication is first introduced, or right after dosage changes. This is because your body may need time to get used to the new treatment. Please note that side effects are usually temporary and cease when your body is stable on the treatment. Your clinician will assess you and provide easy-to-follow guidance as needed.

Will the medication make me lose weight and keep it off?
Injectable weight loss medications help you lose weight by controlling your hunger. However for long term sustained weight loss results, we recommend a combination of a nutritional diet and a healthy lifestyle to get the best results from your personalised treatment plan. Consistency and mindset are the keys, and your one-to-one sessions with your clinician will help support you to achieve just this.
How long will it take for me to see results?
Results can vary on an individual case-by-case basis. Most of our patients experience results from the first month, however this is completely dependent on whether you follow your personalised treatment plan - involving a nutritional diet, increasing activity and maintaining a healthy mindset.
What if I want to stop or change my treatment?
At Cosmetic Medics, we have no hidden fees. You can cancel or change your treatment at any time. Our clinician will get in touch to help you along this transition safely as needed
I have already started treatment elsewhere, can I continue my treatment?
Yes! You can continue on an equivalent dosage of your treatment if your current metrics are in line with the medication licensing. For continuity of care, and to ensure that you do not need a break/restart treatment at a different dosage for safety reasons, please provide us with evidence of all your previous prescriptions.
Can I stay on the same dose or reduce my dose?
Yes! You can discuss your ongoing dosage and weight loss progress during your one-to-one review with your clinician. We are here to support your weight loss journey.
